Development and Validation of a Scale for Measuring Motivations to Use Facebook: Results of Second-Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis

This study is aimed at investigating the motivational needs of Pakistani Facebook users and intended to develop a scale measure motivation use among users. Opting uses gratifications theory reviewing relevant literature, researchers developed comprised six motivations. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with university students, 1245 students participated in this study. The results first- second-order confirmatory analyses indicate that reliable had construct validity as well. confirmed motivations covers both social personal needs. findings confirm utilize for various purposes.
